Dojo (道場) is a training hall for martial arts. A space where martial artists practice discipline, technique, and spirit through dedicated training.
Dojo are training spaces for martial arts (karate, judo, kendo, aikido). More than just physical locations, dojo embody martial arts philosophy and discipline. Training follows strict hierarchies with instructors (sensei) and students (deshi). Dojo culture emphasizes respect, humility, and continuous improvement. Dojo training is rite of passage in Japanese culture.
Dojo has strict etiquette. Respect for sensei and space is fundamental.
道 (way/path) + 場 (place)
